Dr Elariny

Has anyone used Dr Elariny for a revision, and if so what type? Also he is listed as a provider on my insurance so how does his program work since I have heard that he charges a program fee? I am looking to go to a DS due to a possible suture line breakdown which has caused a dilated jejunojejunostomy. Any info is appreciated.

Most Doctors in NOVA charge a fee, although I understand his is quite hefty.    Sorry you are having issues.   Do not know much about him.  

I've never used his services, but I have heard that he is an excellent surgeon although a bit pricey.

Since you are looking into a revision to a DS, consider asking your question on the DS forum at http://www.obesityhelp.com/forums/DS/a,messageboard/.

I also recommend you post a question on the DS forum as there are quite a few over there who have had him as their surgeon and may be able to answer your questions.  I think I read that he is now making his program fee (and participation in those benefits) optional, but I'm not sure.

I'm pretty sure when we last chatted you had decided to go with Elariny since Sudan would prefer to do an ERNY instead of revising to a DS, but I thought you'd be interested in seeing this.  it's a link about how ERNY and the DS are not nearly as similar as many people think.  It was posted on the DS board, but I haven't seen you over there lately.
