I have been smoke free for a week as of this a.m. I am impressed with myself. I am taking Chantix so that is helping a lot. Only 2 real bad moody days, thank god my husband is patient & loves me. :)

Courtney - that is awesome ..!!
I just got my script filled again for Chantix .
I keep looking at it .. scared to try it .
I did one time before and it gave me nightmares.. But it did work .
The drug did not fail me .. I failed the drug ..

You have inspired me to try it one more time .. this time I have to make it work .

I do get weird dreams with it and have trouble getting good sleep but it is worth it.

After talking with my dr. & my surgeon & others who have taken it, I was adviced to take mine with food, antacid, and fluids. Hard to do all that & follow our wls guidelines. Here is what I do. I bought the CVS acid reducer, take one with my chantix about 15 minutes after I have eaten, with a full glass of water or milk. A lot of times the milk helps more as it coats the stomach. This is where it gets the hardest for me cause it does make me nauseous and I hate feeling that way.

I am going to try it that way .. it is hard on my stomach...
I just bought some new antacids .. they are from Maylanta .. they are not chalky at all.. and taste really good .

Once I am home from Amy's I am going to start it up ..
