With the Band? Looking To Network!

I am preparing for Lap Band surgery with Dr. Eric Pinnar in Reston, VA on 9/11/09.  I'm looking for other people in the DC Metro  area for networking and support.  Either people who are post op or pre op, just others who understand this process and what got us here and what's its going to take on the journey!

Hey there fellow bandster!!!  I had mine done a little over 2 years ago.  Haven't reached my goal yet...long story...but we can commiserate together.  How interesting that you are beginning a new journey on a date that so many ended.  What a wonderful way to celebrate life!  I'm dashing out the door at the moment, but we have lots of time to chat.

Thanks Ann for the Welcome wishes. I've been networking on the DC, and MD boards as well but no one real close by :(  I haven't found anyone on here that has my surgeon although he is listed as a top surgeon on Lap Band. com. 

Things are getting closer, I am getting nervous. I just want to do this already! 

Have you ahd issues with the band that prevented you from getting to goal weight?

I am out in Ashburn, VA and had my lap band done in December 07.  I'd love to network.  I need to meet more people and have a better support system than what I've got going on right now.
