Revised and home!

Hi All!

Just wanted to let everyone know that I am al fixed up and home!  I had surgery on Monday and came home Tuesday afternoon...  Really do feel much better then I thought I would at this point.  Went to Safeway, Target and Famous Footwear today, had to get out of the house, it drives me crazy sitting here...

The revision went very well, both Dr. Halmi and Tran did it, they recreated my pouch and removed more intestine that should have been removed the 1st time around, but for one reason or another was not....  Everyone at the hospital was great with the exception of the nurse I had in recovery, man, I have never had such an experience as I did with her, and I have had several surgeries!

Now I am just trying to get all my fluids and protein in, forgot how hard that was to do post op...

Drs. Halmi and Tran are wonderful.  So glad things went well for you.  Take care of yourself during the healing time!  :)

Denise, it's so good to hear from you.  Many of us were becoming concerned cuz we hadn't heard from you yet.  Good for you for getting out & about.  I'm a shoe ho so you went to one of my favorite stores...lol!

Well, keep working on getting in the fluids & protein.  Let us know if we can help.  Welcome home, sweetie!

So glad that everything went well for you Denise!!  I am going crazy sitting at home also...I feel so useless right now having to rely on my hubby for nearly everything.  But I am doing a little more each day!

Denise - glad you are posed, and are home!  wow you are out and about already, you are super strong!  Dr's halmi & tran did my surgery as well, they are awesome! lys

Thank you all for your thoughts!  Sorry it took so long to get on and reply, for some reason I was not able to log in.... I for the life of me could not remember my user name or password.... Don't know what that is all about!!!  

Things have been going great so far, have been out shopping everyday since the day I came home, nothing major, just a few stores each day.  I have even been making dinner for my husband and sisters each night.  It is weird, it almost feels like I did not just have surgery, I really feel better then I would have ever expected... I have to remind myself not to do stuff several times a day, such as pick up my daughter.

I am looking forward to seeing the doc  (Tran) on Wed to see what he has to say about things.  I am FINALLY at the same weight that I was the morning of surgery, I came home 5lbs heavier then I was just before surgery!  I about had a heart attack!
