pure pumpkin?
As I was sitting here eating my favorite thing in the world (pumpkin pudding) I started to wonder if I would be able to have it after getting the RNY? Here is what the label says about it.
1/2 cup serving size
calories 40
fat 0.5g
cholesterol 0
sodium 0.5 mg
total carbs 9g
fiber 5g
sugar 4g
protein 2g
So if I took 1/2 cup and mixed with 1c FF milk, and one SF/FF jello pudding singles and 1 scoop or van. unjury for a total protein of about 30.... (guessing) would that be allowed? If I only ate half of what it made then the sugar intake would be about 2...
Thoughts????
THanks,
Alisa

4g sugar isn't bad at all... You have to watch out for sugar-free items as they still have sugar alcohol in it which can be worse.. I personally keep my sugar grams in items to 4g or under. I haven't had sweets yet or straight sugar(which i never will) but most items contain sugar at some level.
For example yogurt.. most have 15g or more i don't touch those I eat the Bryers light which has only 5g sugar.
You can also buy the sugar-free Jello puddings mix... It is made with splenda and very good. I eat the cheesecake, banana cream and vanilla and add protein powder to them.
Good luck!!
