I just finished talking with my husband to bring him up to date on what an awesome site this is. I told him that prayers are being sent up for our family, he was so greateful. I live in Stafford Va. we moved her a year ago from Redondo Beach California. I like the east coast just a bit cold. Now how important is exercise before surgery? What things should I be doing to prepare for next month? My schedule is packed next week with all of the pre-op visits blood, breathing etc...

Duckie,
I live in Stafford also (south end). Come on down and spend just an hour and a half with our group next meeting, just before you go in for surgery. You will find pre-ops, post ops, and every stage. Also every type of surgery and some who chose not to have surgery, just need support.
AND your supporters are welcome..they need to see and hear what we all go through. All are welcome. We prefer no young children, but we all get stuck sometimes and we have no choice...no one is turned away. Give me a call 540-374-5495 and I WILL BE HAPPY to give you directions to The Free Lance-Star building Community Room in Fredericksburg. 2nd wednesday every month. It is the one thing you can still do for FREE! We are all supporters!!!....and do we have some STORIES to TELL
YOU!

First of all...I replied to your other post...but you probably have not received that reply yet.  I would advise upping your protein now to help aide in healing post op but do not stock up on any one kind.  Your tastes will most likely change drastically after surgery.  Get stocked up on SF popsicles, jello and pudding.  Start exercising as you can and start eating as healthy as you can.  Also, start charting how much water you take in every day and cut out sodas and as much sugar as you can.  You will do fantastic!  Your husband can sign up for an account on here, too if he is interested.  My husband does not have an account but does participate regurlary in our get togethers and knows everyone on here that I do.  He is my biggest supporter!
