It went fine. My doctor is a dork. LOL! He just is. I was trying to ask him detailed stuff about the surgery and he starts babbling medical jargon.I don't think he speaks normal English. OTher than that, everything is fine. I can now officiallly eat mush. Yippee! I had to get blood drawn. They took a ton. He also told me to start taking vitamins now. That was about it. I see him again in 2 weeks.

Welcome to mushy land, Jamie!!!  Starting my 3rd week and doing great.  I did find out that my pouch doesn't do well with tuna but everything else seems to be fine.

On another note,  thanks to Lys for posting the mushy food website - great ideas on it!   You're the best!!!

AND,  super kudos on the 29 lbs weight loss!!  Woo Hoo!!   Melting away!

hmm.. I wonder why he didn't make me get any blood drawn.  Seems like all his other pts. had to do it.

Glad it went well!  Just a quick question - Did you come home with a Drain?  I am going to ask me doctor about that at the final visit , but I didn't know what was standard procedure!

Thanks-

It all depends on your surgeon and the type of surgery you have.  I had open RNY and did not have any drains at all.  It terrifies me for when I have my plastics done!  I know I will have some then!

Hi ya Jamie.  That's great news about your check up.  As for your doctor...I can't decide which I'd rather have....a dork or a hottie?  Hmmm....I wonder if there's such a thing as a dorkie hottie?  Ya think?  LOL

Hugs!
Ann
