Can you believe it has been 9 months....
since I had my laproscopic RNY. I had my 9 month follow up today with Jeannine, the nurse practitioner at my surgeons office. Things were great and I am liking what we discussed.
I am down officially 132 lbs, down from a 30 pants to a 16, from a 26/28 shirt to a 14. I still have a ways to go but am confident that I will get there. Even better than the weight loss is the fact that I am now healthier than I ever remember being. My diabetes has officially been declared in remission and even though I still have a bit of an issue with my heart, I am sure it will get better. My labs are exactly where they want them. While I am not in anyway an exercise person, I am so much more very mobile and love the fact that Cameron has to ask me now to slow down.
I realized over the last few months that a "goal" weight had never been given to me or discussed by the surgeon so that was a main topic. Jeannine told me that she doesn't really have an exact number that they would like for me to weigh but the goal they are giving me is to have my BMI to under 30. As of right now, it is 33, from 54 in March. She told me that that would make my weight around 170. So with that, I am ONLY 20 lbs from their goal. Can you believe that? In only 9 months... Maybe by my 1 yr surgiversary I will be there.
I still have a few issues with food. But am religously trying my best to work through them with the help of my friends, family and therapist.
I am making major changes in my life and focusing on them but wanted to come back here, where my real support for this journey started. I hope everyone is doing good and I am praying for those that are needing it. Thanks for reading my own little toot!
Hugs to everyone.

Life could not get any better than this!
Thanks so much Tammy. I am taking everyone's advance about goals and setting reachable goals. "MY" weight goal was to get to 150 but honestly, if I can get to their numbers, I KNOW I'll be more than thrilled.
And I take it that you are having another sleepless night? I pray that Mr Sandman visits you soon. I've had a few sleepless nights the last few nights as well, dealing with some horrible news that we received Wednesday. I hope you rest well tonight.

You are doing awesome! Congrats! I am so proud and happy for you!
PS I got part of a voice mail from you on Friday? Was it asking if I wanted to go to support this coming Thursday? If it was. I am game. Send me a pm here or myspace. My phone has been acting a little crazy lately!
