What I eat....

Hey kids!

Was lurking a little bit today and I wanted to share a little about how I am living. I see people struggle with food and exercise and I certainly don't want to pile on. I figured I would just let everyone see where I am and do what the info what they may.

I am pretty confident that I am at a relatively flat weight now, since I am basically in the 190s and have been for a month or two. A big part of my calculus is the exercise, about which I am militant. But I wanted to let everyone see that you don't have to fear food once you get where you need to be. Just have to choose things that are healthy and are meant to fuel your new frame.

Disclaimer: This works for me. I (in no way) claim to know what will work for you. Each of our pouches are different and each of us tolerate different foods. But I am pretty sure I am one of the more rabid eaters here. I mix it up, but this is a sample day.

I am drinking thoughout the day too, so just assume it is happening.....

Breakfast (around): 3oz. of Fagee 2% Greek yougurt, 2 oz. Bare Naked Granola and Splendia. Banana. Usually walk out the door with my traveling coffee too. (Somewhere around 400 calories)

9 AM Snack: Atkins Protein Bar. Another Banana. (300 calories)

11 AM Snack: Bag of Baked Lays (200 calories)

1 PM Lunch: Sushi and Miso Soup (500 calories)

3 PM: Soy Chips (250 calories)

Pre-Workout: Half my Myoplex 42g Protein Shake (150 calories)
Post Work-out: Other half (150 more)

Dinner; Side Salad (100 calories) Lentil Soup (300 calories)

Evening snack: More soy chips (200 calories)

So...what do we see here??? Well first off I am taking in about 2500 calories a day. But remember, I am not trying to lose anymore....and I burn about 700 a day at the gym....

But here is what I hope you will take away. I am pretty militant about eating throughout the day and everything is pretty healthy...and look at how much I can take in. Now what happens when you start sneaking in garabage??? Well now you're ekeing back up to that high intake. And that is when you get the creep happening.

Remember when you are recently post-op, you may take in 400 calories a day if you're lucky....but by a year you really can take in as much as the normal person is supposed to get in his/her diet. Use this time to figure out the healthy way to eat.

I had weight loss surgery. I did it the easy way.
