Update and thank you all so much!
First off, Cindy and Tammy--thank you for thinking of me and praying for me. I feel all of the love and support of everyone on this board.
Update--me first:
I had a follow up with the infectious disease dr., Dr. Mo, and Dr. Fischer. I have been cleared by ID so no more home antibiotics. Dr. Mo has been urging me to have a consult with a Rheumatologist to check for connective tissue disorders such as Lupus, Scleroderma, Etc. So, I have an appt. with them next week. Dr. Fischer did an upper endoscopy on Friday to check on my friendly little ulcer and it's still there. So, the things that I'm doing...are not working. Since I had been off of the TPN for a few weeks, it doesn't really surprise me that the ulcer came back. So, I'm going back on the TPN by the end of the week. All in all, I am feeling okay. I get tired easily and lately have been a bit moodier and irritable....which brings me to an update on Ed (lol).
Update--Ed
Edward has been home now for nearly 3 weeks and continues to recover VERY SLOWLY. The most pain he has is from his rib fractures, his internal bruising (which gives him terrible back pain) and his right hip which is still swollen to about 4 times its normal size. He is starting to take less and less pain medication but still needs it at night. I have been really just doing everything around the house as far as the kids are concerned as well as trying to care for Edward and myself. The past week has been super stressful and it's all catching up to me as I am really noticing more stomach pain and have been very tired.
In any case...we are just simply wiped out around here and I haven't had much energy or desire to be on the PC much. I frequently update my status on Facebook from my Blackberry --so, if you are a FB'er...find me there and request to be my friend. It's much easier to keep up with me! :-) I'm under facebook as Lisa Rives Warf
Much love to you all and thank you so very much for your continued support. It truly means so much to me, Ed and the kids!
