OK, so when I was pregnant with Justice (my oldest) I started having them symptoms of extreme intestenal distress (almost feels like intense labor cramps) and would have it until I would "go".  There would be time I would wonder if I was in labor or just had to go.  The Dr i was seeing at the time said it could be IBS and we would test for it after pregnancy.  So it after she was born, it stopped.  When I got pregnatn with Amirah and began again and with more frequency then stopped after her birth.  With Saji, I would get it all the time then after his birth it continued. I was under the care of a gastro for this and my many exposive bathroom trips in one day.  Again IBS being thrown around, but was never officially diagnosed, and that was more for my fault in not be proactive and going to the gasto dr when i should.  Well the intestenal cramps (pain) is back now and everytime I go. It will be about 15 minutes of thse cramps and I can here the movement trhough my lower abnomon.  Has anyone expreinced this?  And I know this may be a stupid and obvious question, should I contact my surgeon or go in and see my gastro Dr?

Hey, Melissa:  I would go see Dr. Halmi and/or a gastroenterologist to have it checked out.  I see a wonderful doctor (gastroenterologist) in Manassas, and will be happy to pass her name and number along to you if you are interested.  Good luck!  :)

Thanks Cindy. I have a great gastro Dr.  Dr Brown.  He is in Woodbridge, Manassas and Stafford.  I will give his office a call and let Halmi's office know as well.

I think that since it's a long standing issue you'd probably have better luck with the gastro Dr. But, be sure to let them know about yoru WLS...and a courtesy call to WLS Dr. probably wouldn't hurt. Are you sure you are not pregnant?!?

Melissa,

I have lived with this my entire life. You need to see your gastro and get them to run tests. I was scared I wouldnt be able to have WLS because of the severity of it. Good Luck

How did things go?  I would see a gastro doc and call my surgeon, too.  Hope they find an answer and it is simple!
