Ever get the feeling that something isn't........
Thank you for all the kind words. I am definitely trying and with each day, I try to do a bit better. Thanks again!
I'm confident you can get this figured out. Its a never ending battle I can testify to that. Something I want to mention to you is having our surgeon's office run labs on you as well. I'm hitting 6 years post-op at the end of the month and I have battled everything from low iron (anemic before surgery and somewhat since but has gotten much better) to thyroid to Vitamin D deficiency. That is something that surprised me honestly. Low Vit D. But, its NO joke. On Halloween I had labs drawn at the office and my vit d was very low. In the months since then I've been taking a Dry Vit D and I have to say I have been feeling a lot better. I go back at the end of this month for more labs (I don't do just once a year follow ups mine are more frequent because they are medically necessary). I hope my levels have come up.
Thyroid issues run in our family and as mom posted hers has been a MAJOR issue so I'm always careful and knowledge filled & have those levels checked when labs are drawn (usually down anyway in our surgeon's office). I personally DO NOT rely on my PCP for labs. I'm too important and my health is too important to take chances. My PCP is a help with many things but I need deeper testing because of past issues. In any event I suggest you write down how you are feeling and remember to get in your protein and exercise. Food is hard I can sympathize even now days but we HAVE to try sweetie.
Praying for you and wishing you the best in finding out what's the cause of all this. Chin up. Things WILL get better.

My surgeon's office runs labs on me. They did at 6 months and said they would do it again at my 9 month appt which is Jan 27. At my last lab work, my vitamin D was slightly low so we added a D to my morning pills and hopefully that will help bring it up. My iron was borderline at the time, but Jeannine mentioned that because I don't menstrate, (due to the depo birth control shot) that it may not be an issue. She said she would keep an eye on it and of course, re check.
I too have my blood work done several times a year. My endocrinologist has spoken with the surgeon's office and was advised of what labs they check so when I get labs done there, for my diabetes, she can check everything too. Generally, I wouldn't rely on my PCP to check my labs for my WLS but with running a routine panel and a basic CBC, I felt that it would be ok. Of course, if something seemed odd, I would have definitely contacted Jeannine.
I am patiently waiting for the results. Hopefully we can figure out what is wrong. This is odd that I want there to be something wrong so at least I'd have an explanation of why I feel so horrible.
I am stealing your idea of writing everything down. From what I eat or drink to walking and exercising, even if it is running up the stairs.
I know I need to focus better on eating but lately, it is so hard to eat enough, if even eating properly since I sleep so many of the hours of a day.
Thanks so much for the prayers and all the advice. It definitely isn't going unheard. Hugs to you!
