NICE Job!!! That's a tough one to tackle there Kat.

I found recently for me to make sure I include some kind of fruit or veggie with EVERY meal. I have replaced Ice Cream with Yoplait Thick and Creamy yogurt... so I get dairy and a nice treat.
Those are two things I started doing religiously over the last 2 weeks or so

I hear ya. The veggie thing has been an issue for me. I cannot eat all that much. If I get in the protein I don't have room for the veggie and vice versa. Its a consistency thing. I do the Yoplait Thick & Creamy Key Lime Pie's. They are awesome. I've been trying to choose veggies as "snacks." Good tips. Thanks.

Great post Kat.  I eat my oatmeal around 6:15 am then I get my 11 year old granddaughter up at 6:50 and I cook her breakfast, so when she sits down to eat at 7:15 I have a cup of coffee and take my vitamins.  I have to watch the clock when I eat then I time myself 45 to and hour then I drink. I hope it kicks in my brain eat wait drink eat wait drink, God help me when the grandkids are gone.  I try eat my 3 meals and snacks on time but there are days I only get 2 meals in.
I have to work on this as  I am never hungry to sit and eat a meal. I have to force myself to eat. I think my desire for food is gone and I MUST work on that. Any tips appreciated

Even now at almost 4 years out I have to be extremely careful about where I eat and what I get.  Also...if I cook dinner I usually can't eat it until much later.  Just the smell fills me up!  Love ya much!

Believe it or not at almost 6 years post op I STILL don't get hungry. I have to remind myself to eat. Seriously. I've talked to many others who say they are hungry or they eat & eat but I don't. I've got a daily journal that an Angel has been helping me with that I will begin using tomorrow. He's formatted everything for me onto one page and put them into a 3 ring binder so that I can keep up with it not only daily but monthly moving forward. I can do this and WILL do this. So, my suggestion is to write down everything that enters your mouth, times, dates, etc. It DOES take work!

Thanks Kat I need to journal it's just pure laziness on my part. I know I don't eat more than 800 calories aday.  When you aren't hungry and you have no desire for food it is hard.to eat. I am going to see my surgeon hopefully next week, I am 11 months out and I still can't eat meats with the exceptional of baked ham in the oven.
So starting tomorrow I will faithfully start journaling my food intake. Thanks a bunch for the info.  One anniversary coming up on Feburary 18.

Sweet! I too am starting with daily documentation. I have found something I think will work for me. I'm excited to see where this goes. I hope we can both get on better paths with this. :)

I don't have any tips as I am very bad at eating. But thanks for the topic so now I can go eat breakfast(its 2:20pm and been up since 7am). I forgot to eat again!!  That is my problem I am never hungry so I don't eat. That was my problem before surgery too.
