Protein Drink Recipes - ideas?

So in my quest to get myself back on track some & work on some of the bad habits I have acquired I am really thinking about going back to at least one protein drink a day.  This will probably be a morning thing as I am really bad about not getting anything into my system for a good 3 - 4 hours after I wake up each day.  Hubby is also working on some of his own health goals and is looking into protein drinks for himself.  Any great recipe ideas?  We are both morning coffee drinkers.

Here is what we did today:

Hubby: (using muscle milk - chocolate) mixed with 10 oz of water, 1/2 banana in the bullet

Me: (using Matrix vanilla samples I had on hand) mixed with 8 oz low fat vanilla yogurt, 1/2 banana, 6 oz of milk in the bullet

I will also need brand, flavor ideas.  I always used Isopure dutch chocolate before but not sure if I want to go the same or look into a bit more variety.

Good am Court,

I like Melanie's ideas. You can get the EAS powders at Walmart. I've not tried them only the ready-to-drink ones but I may buy some and try the recipes she put. Never been a powder gal here. Its a consistency thing.

I get the EAS AdvantEDGE Carb Control RTD in chocolate. I drink 2 of these a day. I am NOT a breakfast person either. So, I usually drink one in the am and then oatmeal.

Hope ya'll find things you like. Check out the EAS site. They've got a different variety of flavors than offered in the store and there may be some things there for hubs too.

Love ya.

I use the EAS  RTD when I dont have time to mix a drink up. I use the strawberry and chocolate fudge but am finding I really dont care for them anymore.

On a daily basis I use the RTD EAS AdvantEDGE chocolate fudge and I have two or three a day.  I am having a hard time keeping protein foods down with being pregnant so I supplement to make sure I get all that I need.  I also throw a powder in the mix every now and again...just to mix things up.  I love using unjury unflavored and I put it with 1/2 a banana and some sf choc syrup and some skim milk, about 8 ounces.  This makes a 28 gram protein shake.  I also use a few other RTD when I want a fruity something that is not milk based.  I will have to check the names when I get home...e mail me and remind me!  I go to Costco and get a huge tub of Sport Pharma Whey, chocolate flavor and also make drinks with that.  I use one scoop and 5 ounces of skim milk and some fruit.  I use yogurt and the unflavored unjury and different types of fruit as well.  I am one for using what is in season to save money or I buy frozen if I have to.  Maybe you and hubby could find a powder you both like to save money?  I like the sport pharma whey because it is a huge tub that lasts two months for me having two shakes a day and it is only $19.95!  I do wish you all the luck in the world!
