I'm APPROVED!!

I'm a newbie but I wanted to share. I got my insurance approval the same day!!! YAY!!!! I'm so happy! Waiting on my surgeon's office to set my date now!! Yay!!! I wont bore you with too much details buts this has been a very LONG and hard road with two different insurance companies saying no until now finally getting my approval!!!

Hey Jess! Congratulations & welcome to the VA board. I am so happy for you and can not tell you what GREAT hands you are in. I had Dr B do my lap RNY as well, on April 30. He is absolutely THE BEST, hands down! So far, in 6 1/2 months I am down 121 lbs and loving life. Everyone is his office is fantastic and will do everything they can to make this the best and most rewarding journey.

Now that you're approved, I'd start living life as a post op. Drinking water, giving up sodas & straws, cutting back on sugars, fats & carbs and taking the supplements. Let me know when Hilary gives you your date. If you need an angel, I'd be happy to help ya out with it. Congrats on your approval!  I know how it is to get your mind ready and then be denied.  I had that happen and it was years before I tried again!  On the second try I had instant approval!  I used the same surgeons office but I had Dr. Hutcher instead of Dr. B.  They are a great group.  I have seen Dr. B...he followed up with me right after surgery as well as when I was admitted witha stricture at 5 months post op (my second stricture).  You have an awesome group.  Let me know if you need anything.  I live about 1/2 mile from St. Marys so I am very close!  I will be awaiting your date announcement!
