I am home
Surgery went good, came home today. He took my gall bladder out also, said it was full of stones and that pre-admin test show I was or had developed diabetes.
Good people at St. Marys and Dr. Hutcher and staff are great. There were 5 other people their that was in my last WLS class and another came in this morning as I was getting discharged.
Still really sore, had open surgery but getting around real good.

Big Congrads,....you are now a Post-Op Weight Loss Surgery (WLS) Graduate.
On the Mens Board, we call it the Brotherhood of the Scar,.. but the Open RNY sisters have it too.
You are on the downhill now of the roller coaster ride. There are still some bumps and turns, but the real party and the rest of your life is just starting. Throw your arms up and enjoy the ride. Soon you'll be complaining about your butt hurts when you sit too long,...cause its so dang boney!!!

WELCOME HOME and to the LOSERS BENCH! I am so happy for you. We are all here if you need anything else. Dr. H took my gall bladder out, too...and mine was perfectly fine! Honestly, I am glad he did because of the pills others surgeons require you to take (Actigal) and then more than half seem to be back in to have it removed within 6 months or so.
You are doing awesome and I am so happy for you. Sit back, buckle that seat belt and get ready for the ride of your life!
