Prayers for a friend and her daughter and grandaughter...

As if the regulars on this board don't already have enough to worry about....

If it is not too much to ask, please pray for my friend Lynda and her daughter Denys (pronounced Denise).

Lynda e mailed me a bit ago with the following:

Well I have some bad news about Denys. She has stage 3 breast cancer and it is in her lymph nodes. Today they did scans of her head, heart, lungs, and stomach and Monday they are doing a bone scan. They want to do chemo first to shrink it before surgery because it is so big. I am so shocked and I am praying that she will be okay.

Lynda is here in Richmond raising her grandaughter (Denys' daughter) and she is in Nashville.  She is only 35 and her daughter just turned 18 so Lynda is still in a lot of shock and disbelief.

Any and all prayers are much appreciated and welcomed.

Thanks, everyone.  I know I can count on my family!

Sincere prayers for your friend and her daughter. My best friends baby sister who is just 32 is in the same boat. I know how emotionally draining that experience is for family but it is surreal for the patient.  I wish them lots of strength and courage and may God heal them fast....

I have been a lurker on this board since July 08 but have never posted here. I know I want this surgery, have full support from hubby but not gathering guts to start this process. I read success stories and get motivated but food part scares me. I don't handle throwing up very well.....

Thank you for the prayers and welcome out of lurkdom!  We are glad to have you and I will keep your friends sister in myprayers as well.

Full support is a good start and reading success stories is a plus as well.  I did not handle throwing up very well at all...but you can manage that.  Generally speaking, if you do as your surgeons plan entails you stand a smaller chance of throwing up a lot.  To me, that was one of the easiest things to overcome!

We are here for you so ask any questions that you have!

Goodness Tams...when it rains, it pours, doesn't it?  I am truly sorry to hear such news.  Of course I will send nothing but positive energy to that whole family.  Thanks for sharing.

Hugs!
