Next time you are in the area, please stop by to visit. I'm sure you and my husband would have alot to talk about (satellites) and you and I can share RNY stories.

PS... Even though you were looking for some men on this board, us women are not so bad!!!!

Hi Ken, good luck!! I actually get a b12 injection from my family doctor, but got sublingual b12 from the health food store at first, I take citrical petites which are tiny and you can cut them in half and they went down fine, the calcium should have the d in it already.

I have never had a problem swallowing pills. I take 2 multivitamins, 3 b-12, biotin, 4 iron, 2 calcium citrate daily.

Best of luck with the surgery tomorrow, Ken!

As far as vitamins, I have found, personally, that the Bariatric Advantage vitamins work best for me (www.bariatricadvantage.com).   Please keep in mind that it really is important you follow your surgeon's directions regarding this.  If he/she has a nutritionist who you have spoken with, that would be a great contact for you!

Best of luck -- look forward to hearing how well you are doing!  :)

First good luck tomorrow. As far as the ticker go to tickerfactory.com and do your ticker when you are done go to the second box and copy it and then come back to va board and go to user settings and go to the bottom where it says sigurture line and paste it there and it will add it. Then come out and click on ctrlf5 and it should work after that if not let me know and I will get the info from you and do it for you. All I would need is the type you want and your begining weight, height and a password and I would be glad to do that for you.

Good luck tomorrow!  make sure to get with your surgeon's office regarding their vitamin requirements.  For me I do calcium citrate, multivitamin, iron (I don't think men worry about iron?), and B12 Shots.  They suggested a chewable vitamin and calcium in the beginning until you can get the pills down.

let us all know when you are back home and recovering!  :)

ACK, I didn't answer your question.  :)  I'm so used to answering what type of vitamins I take not where I buy them!  LOL

I find everything at Walmart, Target or CVS for reasonable prices.  the B12 shot comes from a prescription.

Hey Ken! I got Jeannine at the office to prescribe B12 shots for me. It's 1 shot, once a month and 1 less pill a day. I take the Citrical petites, which she said were fine & Spring Valley A & D, both which are available at Walmart. I didn't stay on the Flintstones long after surgery because I know that as adults, kiddie vitamins weren't going to cut it. I think I was actually taking adult swallow vitamins at 2 or 4 weeks, without problems.

I'm not a doctor nor playing one on the internet, lol, just letting ya know what I do. I go tomorrow to see Jeannine for my 6 month follow up and based on lab results last week, most everything should be pretty good. Except that A & D. Can't seem to get that to the high end of normal.

Good luck on your surgery tomorrow. I will pray for nothing but goodness and NO complications. If you need anything, let me know.

I take Centrum Chewables and two Calciums each day.  I'll probably switch over to liquid vitamins before I find out my surgery date.  But I'm down 47lbs. since July!
