Workout in the pool
Do you run? Try it in the shallow end of a lap pool. Stretching is another option, as is plyometrics (leaping against the force of gravity, or in this case, water weight). Kickboxing fans, take note: Every roundhouse will be harder underwater. The next time you workout, challenge yourself to get into your swimsuit and spend at least 15 minutes walking, running or kicking underwater.

Thanks for this!!! I have been having problems with my knee as I have been increasing the intensity of my workouts and my PCP told me to get in the pool instead. So I have to go dig out the bathing suit and hit the rec center!!!
So, I used my Wii Fit for the second time yesterday. Its amazing how quickly you can work up a sweat on that little thing, especially since I am still in the beginning stages of getting back into my workouts. Some of the exercises are hard!!! But its great and I love how it keeps track of my workouts for me. The hula hooping exercise is hysterical as is the heading the soccer ball. Fortunately my husband wasn't home to laugh because I bet I looked funny!!!!
