Hey Ya'll,

I had a very scary experience this morning and just needed to share with folks that would understand and get some virtual hugs and support.  I'm 11 months out tomorrow (can't believe it!) and I have a pretty good idea what will upset my tummy and what will not.

I got to work and go my cup of coffee and some eggs and noticed they had turkey sauge... thought that should be ok.  I normally get their coffee and eggs etc.. no problems.. but the Turkey Sausage would be a new thing... and a very bad thing, I would learn.

Im sitting at my desk and get some lower cramps... thought this is just the morning coffee thing... so I go to the ladies room do my thing come back to my desk and 5 min later am back in the little girls room praying for my life..   I got severe cramps, my body broke out in the sweats, I got hot, I thought I was going to die (Dramatic, but it was bad!)... I took some deep breaths and just keep praying and trying to keep myself from crawling on the floor to get some cold against my flush face.... and keep myself from crying...

Well the long moments passed but I got really pale and shaky ... and to date that is THE WORST Case of dumping I have EVER had. EVER.. did I mention E V E R... It was so scary...  Glad my RNY still works?? (I guess that's the positive thing)...

I just want my unjury chicken soup and want to go home and sleep...

I managed to eat a banana for lunch... but Im not hungry... I don't want to eat or drink anything, but need to ... gotta get my energy back up....

Thanks for listening...

Oh Amanda!  I am so sorry this happened to you.  It only happens to me when I have milk and cereal together.  I can eat dry cereal and drink milk or eat oatmeal made with hot milk but never cold!

I, too, am glad my RNY still works!  Hugs and feel better soon.

FYI...for me, I was not hungry after that happened, either, but I felt better after having some protein.  I think I had peanut butter crackers!

Isn't it the worst when you're at work and can't immediately crawl into bed....

Hope you feel better soon......

So sorry you had to experience that. Especially at work. Glad things have calmed down. I guess I won't be trying turkey sausage. LOL.

Good am Amanda,

Thanks for sharing this. Speaking for myself I've been there. Nearing 6 years (Jan 09) I can tell you my pouch still works as well. I know quite a bit better the lessons learned and I'm sorry you went through this.

I'll pass along a tip I learned pretty early ANYTHING "NEW" you want to try you should honestly consider trying it at home first to see what type of reaction it has. Keep in mind that when not at home some things you'll try will sicken you because of how and what its cooked in. Most places cook in the cheapest most unhealthy oils and such.

I cannot handle a lot of meats still whether its turkey, chicken etc. I have to have them prepared certain ways and most are not that great about it. So, if I really want something different/new I try it here first.

Hope you're feeling better this am.

Hugs...........

Sorry you were feeling so . Our pouch does rule doesn't it? And the odd thing, well to me anyway is that another time the turkey sausage may sit just fine. Go figure.

Lots of virtual hugs and sympathy coming your way.

PS wow 11 months already..congrats you have come so far!!1
