Go the way of the snail. 

 

When you are faced with exciting food that you worry you won't be able to stop eating, use the "Snail Strategy." Eat slowly. S-L-O-W-L-Y. 

Take small bites and chew thoroughly, then pause for a bit before the next bite. If you slow down your eating, you will get satisfied on less food. When everyone else is finished, you will have eaten much less than you would have otherwise. You never know when a strategy will work for you, so give it a try. 

Action for the day: Slow down today. Just for this day chew slowly and allow more time between bites. See how that affects your satisfaction.
