future (or past) me
Before I had surgery, I found a website (http://www.futureme.org/) where you can send email to yourself in the future. Oooh! So I sent the following to myself. Later, they ended up publishing a book with some selections from people who had submitted letters to be sent to themselves. Mine was chosen!
I had something surgery-related published to a blog this morning, and I thought to myself, "cool! something I wrote is out there for everyone to see!" Then I remembered this (my entry is the second one):
So for those who have not yet had surgery, or for those who have and just want to get an email from themselves in the future, I highly recommend doing this (maybe send it to yourself a year or two years from your surgery date). I just recently got a letter from myself at 25 (on my 30th birthday) and I thought it was absolutely hilarious.
