UGH!! I need to stop these self sobataging thoughts....
I tell you, going through a normal stall can reck havoc on your mental health. I have been stuck at the same weight for 2 weeks now. 301-302. It is quite frustrating. But I have to keep myself positive. This is normal. I have done great. I have lost over 70lbs since my surgery. In two days will be my 3 month surgaversary. So what if I don't make it below 300 by that time. I have come so far. I am not on my diabetis meds anymore. My sugar levels are between 70-90s every morning! That is a blessing. I have come down from a busting out 32 to a 24. I have more energy. My family is more healthy!! My husband's cholesterol has come down from the 200 to 116. He has lost weight!!
These are the things I have to remind myself everytime I step on that stinking scale and see it has not budged in two week. I start thinking the negative...Oh I have failed, I am not going to lose anymore weight, I am doing something wrong, or I suck. It is so hard when you look down and you are not getting the results you want, but you have to remind yourself you are getting the results you are suppose to get. So it has been a battle for me inside over the past few days with my NORMAL stall. I have to think about where I have come and this will pass. My body is adjusting to so much at one time and this is normal!!
Hi there!! I'm from Stafford too! :) Yes this is normal. I hit a stall right about the same time you did. I was there for 3 weeks! I was so upset. You will start losing again, don't worry! 70 lbs in almost 3 months is wonderful! Think about this; when is the last time YOU lost 70 lbs in 3 months???? Right now I have been at my current stall for 3 months!!! I have 20 lbs more to go to get to my goal!! I have been going to the gym everyday!! I will get there, I know I will.... You will too!!! All good things come to those who wait!!!!

Develyn is right on! You'll break through this stall for sure! Its hard because we tend to measure all we do (initially) by the numbers on the scale. 70 lb in 3 months is fabulous! Its hard however because we WANT to get lower and lower. Look at the positives and realize that you have so many blessings. Just look around you. Its the Devil creeping in and the best thing to do is to give him um shall we say reasons not to hang around for lack of a better statement I was going to make.

I think you are doing great and keep up the good work. I am proud of you.Mompat
Everyone else has said what I would have with the exception of reminding you that your body has gone thru a huge change and needs time to catch up and say "hey...what's going on here. Your weight loss will pick back up soon. Just be patient. You are doing great!

I am really impressed to see how your healthy lifestyle has affected your family as well. Hubby's cholesterol level has dropped so drastically he should do a Quaker Oatmeal commercial!!
The stalls happen, and I think it is almost like our bodies taking a break from the craziness that is going on with the huge weight loss it goes through. What I have found, and has already been mentioned, is that during those times is when inches disappear. It has seemed to me that people notice the weight loss more during those stalls than other times....sounds strange, but it has been the case each time! Hang in there, and know that your body is just making some adjustments and will start kicking right along again with the weight loss before you know it. You're doing great! :)
What you wrote is quite inspiring. The reminder to look at the positives and force away the negatives is a message we all need no matter what stage of our journey we are. I have been feeling a bit down lately about my extra skin, partly due to not being at the gym in a few weeks to really work my body. Went in last night & had a great workout. I needed this message this a.m.
