I finally had my rny. I was in pain for a couple of days after coming home but now mostly just sensitive and stopped taking any pain medications for the past 3 days.
I'm having trouble drinking all the water I have to drink and struggle with one of my protein shakes. It's been a challenge.
I weighed 10lbs higher when I got home due to IV fluids or whatever else they did in the hospital. I lost that in a couple of days and down about 5 lbs. I know I'm dehydrated at this point so not much real weight loss yet.
My doctor was Dr Moazzez and I was in Fair Oaks Hospital in Fairfax. I highly recommend them to all future loosers.

Farah,

Congratulations and welcome to the losers bench!  You need to do your best to get in all of your water every day.  Being dehydrated is a horrible thing and we as post op's are more easily dehydrated than most people.  It is hard for most of us to get in all of our protein at first.  Just do the best you can and it will come.  Try some SF popsicles.  This is fluid, too, and will help with the dehydration.

Just keep trying Farah!  Sip, sip, sip.  It is not unusual to not be able to drink it all in the beginning.  Glad to hear things are going pretty well though.  Keep up the great work!

Hi Farah -  welcome to the losers bench lol!!

It is hard to get everything in at once but as others have said you do not want to become dehydrated in any way. So sip sip sip! In the beginning it is indeed a challenge to get everything in but eventually it becomes easier..... just try to do what you can....

Congrats Farah! Fresh out of the gate things are hard to get accustomed to but you'll get there. Please lean on us for support and try to sip, sip, sip and walk, walk, walk!

All best!
