I went to the beach and I finally told my Mom!

I went to the beach last week and laid in the sun all week!! The beach then the pool back and forth! My Mom and Dad came down to get me and my girls so we would not have to drive since my Hubby is out to sea. My parents didn't know I was having this surgery. It took me almost a year with all the requirments. Anyway, my Mom was so surprised nd happy that I'm on my way to health! It killed me not to tell her because we are very close, but I just didn't want her to worry. I'm down 21 lbs and I have my month appointment on Aug 15. I am so ready for my life to get back on track!!

Glad you told her...I am sure it is a huge weight off of your chest!  It is wonderful that she is being supportive.  You are lucky!

So glad you told her!  I know that is a huge relief for you (and probably for her as well).  You sound like you are doing great, keep up the good work.  lys

Hi Patient55, I just went to the orientation meeting in June, what was your "number"? It seems like the number for surgery is stuck. How long did you have to wait for the call? Are you going for Lap Band? Dr. C is a good guy, took my gall bladder out a few years ago. I'm hoping the numbers will start moving again.
