The Dream Dress...

My husband and I will be celebrating out 10 year wedding aniversary in Jan.  We got married when I was 19 and he was 23 and we eloped.  No one knew about us getting married.  We didn't even know until the night before.  We got married on a Friday and he left for the military on Tuesday.  Here we are, 9 1/2 years later and three beautiful children.  We want to renew our vows in the church for our 10 year anniversary.  We are going to have a small ceramoney and I will be wearing a dress. LOL  I wanted somthing very simple and elegant. OMG!! I found it.  I am not sure if it will look right on me when time comes because of my kangaroo pouch, but we will see. I will need to speacial order it, and will be worried about the time from order and receiving with my weight loss. I expect I will be around the same weight I was when I married my husband.  That will only (only? listen to me) 85lbs in 6 months.  But the dress is gorgeous!

It is beautifu!!!!  You may be smaller than you think come January.  I have a friend that is a dress maker that can do alterations if you need help.  I think that is a sweet thing to do!

Hijack - Tammy, can you send me the the name and number of your friend? I need to have my wedding dress drastically altered because I want to have my wedding portraits re-taken and I want someone reputable and good. It has to be altered from a size 20 to a 4 and it has a chiffon beaded overlay which could be a challenge, so if she's willing and reasonably priced that would be great!

The dress is beautiful!! What a wonderful way to celebrate!!! I am sure you will accomplish your goal and then some.

I have a call into her now to see if she wants her number given out.  She is "retired" but has done several for me and friends on the side.  She is good and reasonable in prices.

Oh my - what a gorgeos dress!!!! You will look stunning and I am sure you will have lost the weight you need by January - you may want to hang on a couple of months before ordering though........ most of your weight you willl drop the fastest in the first 6 months or so..... then it gets a little slower..... but does still keep going!

The dress is gorgeous Melissa!  I have heard there is a wedding gown shop in Potomac Mills that sells discount dresses, you may want to check it out too.
