Joined a Gym and a couple of questions...
Finally joined the gym today. I went through globalfit.com. I got my membership for my whole family for $50 a month at our local gym, which is a steal!! I am excited and can start going tomorrow. I am ready for it!!
I am so tired. I do not know if I am just doing to much or I am lacking something in my diet. I am hitting 80-90grams of protien a day. I am taking all of my vitamins each and everyday. A multi, b-12, and calcium. My body is just so weak. I cam home early today and slept from 4-8pm. I am going to pay for it when I go to bed tonight. I am not on an iron pill yet. Which surprises me since I am still menstrating. I am thinking of adding it into my diet. I need to find one that will not contribute to my potty issues. Does anyone know of I good iron pill that does not constipate as much? I will be speaking with my Nutritionist about this as well.
I would also talk with them on how tired you are feeling as you should be feeling a bit more energised by now unless you are maybe doing too much..... the doctor's office should be able to discuss that with you...... and a simple blood test will say what your levels are...

CONGRATS on joining the gym! Have FUN!!!!!
As for being tired, you are still pretty early out and this is actually normal. Your body is adjusting to the major surgery and to its new, ever-changing, self. So, listen to your body and rest if it says rest.
For iron, I started taking iron about 2 months out and I use a chewable from the Vitamin Shop. It's iron chelate and it does not upset my tummy in any way - I take 2 a day since my plastic surgery and because of my heavy workouts. One a day for you should be fine as that is the typical dosage, but check with your doc first.
Again....have a BLAST at the gym!

So I run like a Girl....now keep up!
You are at the point now where I was when I was utterly exhausted all of the time. This, too, shall pass. Your body is catching up and talking to you. Of course, you should talk to your doctor about this, but IMHO it is NORMAL!!!
I DO NOT recommend adding an iron pill without talking to your surgeons office first. I was not put on the iron pill until 7 months post op. There is some iron ion your multi and there is more in prenatal vitamins if that is what you are on. I started taking regular multi vit.'s then moved to prenatal for the added iron then was switched back to regular multi vit.'s with iron, too. When and if you do begin taking an iron pill, remember to take it with vit c for added help wit the absorption and to space it far away from your calcium. They two do not absorb if taken together. Also, do not drink any for of tea with your iron as this defeats the absorption, too.
