RICHMOND MEET AND GREET JULY EVENT

WHEN: SUNDAY, JULY 27, 2008

WHERE: HADAD'S LAKE

TIME: 10 AM TO 8 PM (AS LONG AS YOU WANT TO BE THERE)

WHO: ANYONE THAT WANT'S TO ATTEND...THIS EVENT IS FOR FAMILIES, FRIENDS, SPOUSES...THE MORE THE MERRIER!!!

COST: FINAL COST IS TBA...AT THIS TIME THE COST IS $12.00 PER PERSON FOR ENTRANCE AND $5.00 PER FAMILY FOR THE RENTAL OF THE GAZEBO. THE COST WILL DECREASE IF WE GET ENOUGH PEOPLE.

I am sorry to say that we are not going to be able to come.  We had been talking about & thought we would be able to but that changed.  My stepbrother will be home that week after graduating from basic training, he is only given 1 week of leave before he will be sent to Texas for training & then probably deployed somewhere.  Not sure if he will get more leave before being deployed or not.  So the family will be getting together that day to celebrate his graduation & spend time with him.  I will miss you guys!

I was REALLY hoping that you could have made it.  It would be great to see you, Matt and the girlies.  Maybe the August event...we are planning something outdoors and possibly more toward NOVA...so we will let you know as soon as it is planned.  I was hoping that more people would come...that is part of the reason that we did this on the weekend.  I am glad to see that we do have a few that normally do not come to our meetings.  It will be nice to see old faces and meet some new ones, too.  It is important to spend time with him while he is here.  My cousin has been to Iraq 4 times and is the recipent of a double Purple Heart.  His sister was in the Air Force and His brother is in the Army now guardint the Tomb of the Unknown.  It is a very special thing that they are doing!  Talk to you soon.

I wasn't sure until recently b/c I have a friend coming from out of town that weekend. But it looks like I'll be able to make it. I won't be there until early-mid afternoon, but I'm looking forward to it!
