surgery in 2 weeks

Hi all, my surgery is in 2 weeks, is there any special I need to buy, that will help before and after surgery? I bought my vitamins, carnation instant breakfast, slim fast shakes, and protein powder. Is there anything special I made need for the hospital? the closer the time gets here the more my mind goes blank. Thanks ...............Tonya

Good luck! I'm sure there will be a lot of people posting to this and I'm going to also benefit from this as my surgery is in 10 days! I have been told a pillow, robe, lip balm, slippers, comfy going home clothes. Do not take a lot to the hospital because I've been told they take very good care of you there! SherylLynn

Congrats on your surgery date. I would add broth, canned tuna, non spicy chili for after. It depends what stage foods your doctor will allow. If I were you, I would call the docs office or your nutritonist for their protocol. For the hospital, toothbrush/toothpaste, your own pillow, lip balm, hairbrush/hairties,washcloth, small towel and face soap and extra big clothes to wear home. You will be very bloated. Good luck,we will be waiting with a spot on the bench for you!

ditto on the other 2 posts. take these next couple of weeks to try and relax. do things for yourself. a mani and pedi. take me time. 2 weeks is gonna go by fast. you'll be on the losers bench before you know it. keep us updated.

Sounds like you are well on your way to being prepared.  Your day is almost here!  For the hospital just take some chapstick & a pillow (you won't really need anything else).  Can't wait to welcome you over to the losing side.
