Oh...more surgery more saga more fun!

Well, hello all!  I've been mia because of what else...my ulcer issues.  Back in May I had surgery to correct a loop of intestine that was storing food and poorly emptying and just causing trouble.  We thought this would be it.  Well, I was out of the hospital for 11 days...and pain came back.  So, back to IFOH I went and lo and behold another ulcer... No more messing around.  Dr. Moazzez did an anastomatic revision last Friday (a week ago).  It's been hard...a bit harder than the original bypass.  Pain has been lasting longer and I'm feeling weaker.  I had to get a blood transfusion and I took up residence on the fifth floor for a little over a week this time around.  I think they like me.  LOL I ended up with a PICC central line and loads of other fun stuff.  My drain this time slipped up into my left shoulder and was sucking my shoulder...talk about pain!  LOL My story is neverending...but, I'm still here to tell it.  Feeling better now and hoping that this is the last time I have to deal with this.  Of course, if I start having issues with ulcers again, I will have to consider reversal of the surgery...we'll cross that bridge later if we have to.   Just keep praying and loving me and supporting me...Thanks!

I am so sorry Lisa - you really are having a bad time of things! I hope this last surgery works - I have everything crossed for you - I suspected when you were quiet that things were not really great but did not want to be the one to ask and find out things were not.... At least you will probably get to know the medical staff in the hospital..... Jackie

I hope and pray that this surgery will be the answer and you wil have no more ulcer.  Oh and just for the record - the sucking of the shoulder - BLAHHHhh that just gives me the heeby-jeebies.  YUCK.  you are such a brave person to face all these odds and come out shining!  :)
