Dress Update
Okay so after spending 4 1/2 hours at Fair Oaks on Friday night (bless my sweetie for putting up with me & the girlies and our shopping) I did come home with a dress but I wasn't sure about it. I liked the fit, the color was ok, the price was a bit high. So on Saturday I raided my stepmom's closet and came home with another dress. The color was good, the price was excellent, the fit seemed a little bit too big. So I learned a few tricks at the mall on Friday night and decided to go back to Dress Barn and retry a couple of the dresses that I liked there. I went ahead and returned the one I got on Friday (definitely didn't want it, figured if I didn't find anything I would just use the one I borrowed from my stepmom). My sweetie was nice enough to go shopping with me again last night. So got to dress barn, grabbed one of the dresses that I liked from last week (pink) and on the way to the dressing room saw another one that I hadn't seen before (coral). Took both in to try. The coral one (very Marilyn Monroe, halter top, empire style waist with a gathered band, and a flair skirt) was fabulous. The color was great, the fit was great, gave me exactly the feeling I was looking for. Another bonus was I talked my sweetie in to stopping at the shoe store (promised it was the last store we would go to) and I found perfect shoes. So now I am completely satisfied with my outfit. I told my honey if I was going to have such good luck when he went shopping with me then I was going to have to take him more often. He sort of grimaced at that. I plan on getting some pics of us all dressed up and I will post.
