I am on the go a lot and don't have much time to prepare gourmet meals. I am 7 weeks out and am having a hard time figuring out what I CAN eat and get all the protein I need. I went My first Support Group meeting last night. Speaking to one lady, she said she eats Wendy's chili or Lunchable with ham or turkey. Anything else? Also, I'm hearing conflicting info about eggs. Do we HAVE to eat Eggbeaters? Yuck! :angst: Thanks! Christy

I eat regular eggs, never heard anything otherwise. The highest protein, quickest meal, with the least amount to eat for me has been Kroger Brand Carb Masters Yogurt and any kind of cottage cheese. You can eat more of it, so your mind thinks your full, they are both full of protein and calcium! I eat a lot of cheeeese too! Hope that helps, Amber

Hey Christy! Support groups are definitely a good way to go for advice and suggestions. I was never told to do eggbeaters. I have always used regular eggs. Some things that I do for on the go are cottage cheese, yogurt, cheese sticks or cubes, egg salad, tuna, oatmeal, and stuff like that. A lot of times I make sure to pack leftovers to reheat for a meal. I know a lot of people like to do lunch meat & cheese wraps with lettuce. Hope this helps some. Courtney

Hey Christy - Hope this message finds you doing nicely! Here's some things I eat/drink and most are quick and easy. AchievOnes (protein drinks) these have 20 grams of protein each...in 4 different flavors and I personally dig the Mocha Java! These are fabulous if you like coffee flavored drinks. Yogurt, cheese (mild cheddar for me), Wendy's chili (is a major food in my diet), snack wraps I make myself and in them are tomato, very lil' mayo, salt & pepper and either chicken or turkey, also Subway's chicken teriyaki wraps are great...I get them plain w/ mato and just the chicken & teriyaki. As for the eggs I eat regular eggs just not often...hard boiled and scrambled w/ a lil' cheese and peppers. I am a big veggie dip stick eater now. I grab some carrots and celery and dip away in some light ranch dressing. I also eat fruit but sparingly as the natural sugar still drives my tummy nuts. I often times eat ALL my inards of a sandwich in flat bread or wraps. I do NOT eat regular bread. I eat a lot of soups and love the Campbell's soups on the go. You might also try the snack sized tuna w/ crackers. Tuna really is not my friend but it settles so so now and then. I will also make many homemade salads and add my own fixin's such as 98% fat free deli meat that I tear up myself, I'll add maters cut up, cucumbers, a lil' shredded cheese and light dressing. I also add chicken torn up to my salads at times too. Hope these help! Take care, Kitty Kat
