NEVER underestimate the power of a SHOWER to make you feel like a million bucks! I had my first shower today since the morning of surgery on the 23rd.... wow - it felt SO... good it lasted nearly an hour! I had images of those women in Africa who walk miles with barrels of water on their heads...... but I just couldn't help myself! Getting the drains out yesterday was so...... great - made me feel human again, and I don't look like I'm wired to blow up a bus staion up! Still trying to be patient with the swelling so I can see what my "shape" will wind up looking like! Crystal

Hi Cathy! That was my surgery date too! What hospital were you in? What did you have done? I think I must have missed something to not know you were having surgery. Is everything okay? How are YOU feeling?

Crystal, congrats on getting your drains out. Omgosh I can't even imaging not being able to shower that long. I had mine one day after you but had no drains. I got to shower on the day I went home. I bet you are feeling awesome!!! Anna Oh ps your date shows this. RNY (04/08/2005)
