Remember me?????

Well, I haven't been on the boards since I got denied by AETNA back in November. It was just too painful to get on here. Please know that I am soooo very happy for all of you that are having so much success! It is so awesome to see the transformations that you are going through! I have been in contact with AETNA every week since my appeal was filed in Mid December. They were giving me the run-around. My file kept being sent to the wrong place. Finally 2 weeks ago, it was in the right hands and was supposedly going to get reviewed within the next two weeks. Well, when I called last week, I spoke with a wonderful lady named Julie. She said she was going to keep my file open on her computer and bug her supervisor every day until was completed. She was true to her word. She called me today, and........... I AM APPROVED!I AM APPROVED!I AM APPROVED!I AM APPROVED!I AM APPROVED! Now, I just have to wait for a surgery date! I am in shock. I cried when Julie told me. I keep tearing up everytime I tell someone. I can't believe it. Yee Haw!!! I'm going to actually have this done. Now what do I need to do to get prepared? I know I have read it a million times on here, but now I'm so excited that I can't think straight! Thanks for all you guys' support! So many of you wrote emails to me telling me not to lose hope, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart! Hugs, Robin

Robin, that is awesome. I too remember the dissapointment of being denied. I was almost hopeless at one point. Someone is looking out for you! Congrats!

Hi Jane, Thanks so much! I checked out your profile. You have really done well! You look awesome have some very good advise (words of wisdom) in your profile that I am so thankful you shared. From what I have been reading on this board and others, it sounds like you guys who went to the Richmond conference had a blast! Maybe I'll make it to one of those sometime. Hey Robin, WooooooooHooooooooooo I am so happy for you Robin. This is me doing the happy You have waited so long and now your day is finally coming. As you know, I too had a long wait for my approval and now looking back, I wouldn't trade a thing. It was meant to be and my surgery was so successful. I really missed seeing you on the board. I didn't know what happened to you but your post here explains everything. I went through that sort of thing also. It is very depressing when you constantly read about everyone getting approvals or how much everyone else is losing and you are still playing the waiting game. Hi Kathy, It is so good to hear from you. I missed being on the board, but it just made me cry every time I came on because all I could think about was - Why would AETNA deny me the opportunity to be as healthy and happy as all of the people on this board? Fortunately the 70 pages of documentation and my letter that my surgeon sent over to them did the trick. I am soooo very happy right now. I can't even begin to imagine the joy I will feel when I am on the loser's side. BTW - You are looking FANTASTIC! I love your new haircut! I hope to post a date for my surgery very soon! Robin, That is awesome. I am sooo glad that you are finally approved. This is the best news. Take some deep breathes and calm yourself.
