Surgron Recommendations Please

My name is Lisa. One year ago my sister had surgery and has lost 105 pounds. She looks great but more importantly she feels terrific. I am 249 ponds and also want to have surgery. I live in Stafford Virginia and would like some recommendations of some surgeons. Thank you in advance for anyone's assistance.

Dr Halmi in Woodbridge did mine and I can't speak highly enough of him - I think he is a god!! His number is 703 690 1749. Also we have a support group in Stafford/Fredericksburg that meet the third Wednesday of every month so in February it is on the 21st. Why not come along to it and you will get lots of info there as well as different surgeon information? If you send me your email I will add you to our list as we email everyone nearer the time.. Of all the surgeons close to you, I'd reccommend Dr. Hutcher.He was not my surgeon but he is considered top notch and I have met many of his successful patients.

Dr. Halmi did mine. He's fantastic. I have four friends having surgery in the month of February.

I would recommend Dr. Moazzez. He is one of the most amazing men I have ever met. Whenever I have had a question after hours, he has always been right there for me. Lisa, Please check out Dr. Osvaldo Anez at obesitysurgerycenter.net. I absolutely love him and yes, like so many others, I believe that he saved my life too! I thoroughly checked out his credentials too and they are outstanding!! He is very skilled and only does the mini-open Gastric Bypass. At first I thought I wanted the laprascopic, but once I met him and I could understand why he prefered open, I wanted no one else but him!! I received many outstanding recommendations to see him! His staff is terriffic too!! When ever I needed an appointment it was easy to get one and I have never had to wait in their office. Not even once! They schedule very well! Dr. Anez's Nutritionist Sally and I really click and I've learned so much from her!! Tiffany the Physician's assistant is marvelous too and I trust her as much as Dr. Anez. The whole staff treats me like a queen and it's actually really fun to go to my appointments! They are always there for me, even calling me back on the weekend when I had an urgent question! Also, Fair Oaks Hospital is a Barriatric Surgery Center of Excellence and that means a lot when you are requesting approval from your insurance company. Again, I was treated like a queen there! Dr. Anez's office was really helpful to me in getting approval. One more thing, Dr. Anez's complication and fatality rate is very low., much lower then the national average. Please do lots of homework no matter whom you chose because it's very very important to have a surgeon with many years of experience doing the type of procedure that you are interested in. Good Luck!
