HELP ALANS PANTS !!!

I need for anyone that will be attending the conference that can sew to help me PLEASE !!! We bought Alan some poly pants and I need them hemmed .. I have no clue how to do this and no time for alterations ... DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO SEW !!! I know it is short notice .. I have no clue what to do .. Could I tape them .. I dunnoo.... HELP HELP HELP ! Tink

Hey sweets -- Having a mother for a dressmaker comes in handy. First, you need to pin the hem under at the correct length going around the circiumfrance of each pant leg. Then, you can either sew them (use same color thread as pants) (if you don't have it done by the time I get there, I'll do it for you), or you can buy that Sew Magic tape that will allow you to iron the hem up by placing the tape between the underside of the hem and pant leg and iron! If you decide to go with the hem tape you can get it at Walmart or a fabric store. It is great stuff. Watch your iron setting. You don't want to scorch the polyester. Loris

Nat, you should come to me before the conference, I'll be there around 2 pm or so.. Bring a needle and the color thread you need and a ruler and I'll set you up. You know I sew costumes. I can do a hem in my sleep. I dig out my travel kit, just in case Jane

I may need you Saturday early pm!! I got a pair of pants from Good Will...LOL, KINDA bell bottoms, and I am in the same damned boat Nat is in!! They are just a bit too long...and I THINK I can live with it, but.....I dunno.....I will try them with my shoes and see how it goes, but I am thinking they need to come up a bit.....of course if it isnt too much trouble!!
