I am not a good example. I'm having food issues right now. But here you go Morning-2 big mugs of fully leaded coffee, a handful of vitamins, 42 gram Vial of IDS Liquid Protein and a stick cheese Mid-Morning- AchievOne Lunchtime-Salad with whole Grain crackers on the side Snackie Thing- Ham and cheese Rollups Dinner-Some type of protein, though no chicken (we don't get along lately, I think I'm gonna file for divorce soon from Mr. Chicken), a veggie or two Before bed- Protein Shake As I've said, having issues with food lately. I hope to god my ulcer has not come back. But everything else is sucking right now so I wouldn't be surprised. I still have to supplement so I'm getting my protein. I don't eat white stuff either. I'm probably not a great example either...but here ya go..... Breakfast - Peanut Butter w/Celery or apple, Special K Protein Plus cereal or a protein bar About an hour later - round 1 of vitamins w/water Sometime before lunch - IDS Protein Vial (25g) Lunch - Usually a protein-loaded salad (greens, tuna, egg, chickpeas) with a bit of ranch dressing. Mid-Afternoon - Round 2 of vitamins Late afternoon - IDS Protein Vial #2 Dinner - Varies....usually high protein w/some veggies. Before bed - Round 3 of vitamins and another IDS Protein Vial I don't always remember my before bed stuff. I drink water all day at work and try to when I get home. Not sure if that helps...I'm certain I'm not the food-guru. Christina S

I know I'm a guy and probably have some different tasts but I got the RNY pouch and still have the protein, water and vitamin requirements so I'm gonna jump in here for what its worth. I have had some problems keeping food down. The nutritionist from the St. Mary's support group told me I was eating too much per sitting and need to stop after 30 minutes no matter how much or little I've eaten. So far it is making a difference for the better but I was also upgraded from Prilosec to Protonix at the same time so maybe both are making a difference. I have lost 114 lbs total since meeting with the WLS surgeon and am 3 moths and 2 weeks out. I try to gt in 60gms of protein and 64 oz of water a day (4 16 oz bottled waters). Breakfast (usually around 8 a.m.) - Food, meds, and vitamins. Food is usually dry wheat toast (1 or 2 slices) or Life cereal (1 cup, dry or with skim milk). If I do cereal with milk, I use the leftover milk to take my BP meds and vitamns. Sometimes I'll just do a protein powder in skim or 6 0z yougurt withb protein powder depending on waht I feel like eating. Snack - 16 oz water 9start by 9 and finish by 10 1 or 2 protein bars (15 or 20 gm variety (Pure Protein or Detours) with water (8 to 16 oz) by 10 and finish by 11 Lunch - start somewhere bewteen 11:30 and 12:30, usually something like fish, soup, pasta, baked potato (brocolli and cheese or plain), strawberry protein smoothie, or refried beans (like Taco Bell beef and bean burrito or pinto & cheese). Try to be finished by 1 or 1:30. Snack - start by 2/2:30, 1 or 2 protein bars and 1 or 2 16 oz waters (depending on how the morning went). Finish by 4/4:30 p.m Dinner - start between 5 and 6 p.m. - usually stuff like the option at Lunch but also include things like Wendy's chili, mac & cheese, deviled crab, shrimp, scrambled eggs, lasanga, or sometimes (if I'm on the run) and when I'm not taking chances, just 2 protein bars. Snack - 7 to 9 p.m 1 16 oz water and maybe a cookie or two or cheese or 2 SF popsicles. Nothing after 9 p.m excep****er Bed at 10 to 12 midnight. Thats what is working for me at this point. no soda, no chips, no SF icecream or candy. I haven't even tried red meat and chicken gives me problems. Sometines chicken if I chop it up and mix it with mashed potates goes down ok but it fills me up sooo fast and takes hours to go away I don't tread there often. As of today I have purchased some liquid protein and will be trying that to reduce the redundancy of so many protein bars and maybe increas my protein intake. Good Luck. Hope this helps some. I was assured and have experienced the truth of needing to get our protein and water in addition to exercisr to keep the weight loss going. Drop off on the protein and/or water and the weight loss slows down to a stall. Joe

Naomi, I am 13 months out but my menu is still pretty much the same, just my portions are a little bit bigger. C right before bed. Hope this helps. Courtney
