Smoking with Lap-Band?

Anyone had their Dr. to tell them that smoking can cause slipage of Band or erosion? Hoping to here from you, Hugs Pamalou

Not heard that but I know some surgeons won't operate on you if you smoke because it can make your recovery more difficult - breathing difficulties (lungs) and narrowing of arteries because of oxygen constriction....... not sure how your band could slip because of it though.... but I am not a doctor....
