Tri City Support Group Meetings

Hello everyone, just taking a survey for interest. We have a support group in the Tri City area for those that may not want to drive to Richmond, we meet the first Thursday of each month at John Randolph Hospital in Hopewell. This is for any type of surgery whether you are pre op, post op or just thinking about it. I am not in charge of the group but am interested in seeing it grow, I will put a link below to Kathy's profile, she is the leader and would love to see this thing get better as well. Anyway to the point, my question: Is there anyone out here that lives nearby and would be interested in attending? Our next meeting is scheduled for Feb 1st, just trying to put out some early attention to it and get some feedback. Thanks. Hey Keith, I have been living in the area for about six months now, but have yet to make it to a meeting due to other commitments. I do plan to come one of these times, I sure hope you all keep the meetings going. Hope to see you at the Richmond event! Hugs, Patty

Keith, After I got past the Redskin thing, (Cowboys fan), I appreciate you working for the Tri-Cities group. I'm in Colonial Heights and work at Fort Lee. I had Dr. Hutcher of Commonwealth Surgeons up at St. Mary's and usually go to support when I have an appointment as they usually fall on Thursdays and I just love their facilitator/nutritionist, Irene, up at St. Marys. I try to make it there once a month. My problem is a current conflict with Thursday evenings. It would be great to meet locally rather than 45 minutes to Richmond. If you consider another night or my schedule changes anytime I would be interested in meeting with you guys and transistion out of the Richmond group. Even with the redskin thing........ Joe

Hi Keith, I'm 10 months post-op and have lost 100 ! I live in chester and would like to come to your next meeting.I like st.mary's but it's so far. You didn't say wherein the hospital you meet or what time. I will go to your link and see if kathy's profile has it. Thanks Jackie

Jackie Congrats on your weight loss, that is awesome. Our meetings are at John Randolph in the basement, it is conference room A/B or 1/2 can't remember what it is called but if you take the elevator just outside of the ER near Radiology to the basement, get off to the right and take first left. To my knowledge it is the only conference room around. Look forward to seeing you there. Keith

Jackie Sorry about that. It starts at 6:30 and ends between 7:30-8:00. Keith
