Staunton VA??

Anyone in or near Staunton that had to do the six month diet with a pcp?? I just went to see a pcp for the first time in my life and he seems nice just not sure how on board he is. I don't want to waste his time or mine. So if anyone knows of a pcp that is for this surgery please leave me a note and I would greatly appreciate it

Oh the memories LOL.. Sorry, I have absolutely nothing beneficial to contribute to your post, other than the subject line brought some good memories from my teen-hellion days LOL. I didn't click to read your profile before posting, but I must say, no matter what your age, I'm surprised you have never visited a PCP b4. Remember, you are paying HIM.. whether thru insurance, or cash. Make sure he is on board, or tell him you'll be finding another PCP. Having a primary care physician who is in sync with your goals is vitally important. Make sure you are comfortable with your doctor. Then proceed with what is best for you. Much love, Wendy

I completely agree with Wendy. Your PCP should be on board when it comes to desires and wants. Have you talked to him about WLS? All he can say is "no". If that the case, it's time to find one that will agree with your wishes.

Hi Ilive in Charlottesville and your surgeon is mine Dr Schirmer is the bomb, I had to fight for so long I didnt have to do the 6 months but I also had record from previous PCP of the diets I had did on my own as well as w/ the PCP he knows his stuff he has good reason Im sure. If you dont understand ask he will explain. Good luck and we are here for you.

hey karen, i live in staunton too. over by joann's. i can recommend dr craig she is over on green hills drive in verona. she is my pcp. hugs, Holly
