Congrats Jill. I was doing the running thing for a short while. then I tore ligaments in my knee, so no more running for me. I prefer swimming and eliptical machine now. I wanted to run the "Rock n Roll" half marathon one day. Maybe when I heal up!

It is a big deal Girl ... I started out the same way .. and before you know it . I was running all the time . I find the best way to get started is to fast walk .. about 3.8 then move up to 4 or better for the run ... Did you find you had the runners high afterwards ? I do everytime and it feels soooo gooooood ! Almost like being drunk .. LOL ... Way to go ... Keep up the running and you will reach your goals .. Hugs, Nat

OMG! I felt SO good. Not drunk, but elated (sp). It was such a GREAT feeling. I'm going to hire a personal trainer to work out with once a week. This has really made me feel strong, and my goal for this year is to get stronger. I want to be as strong and healthy as possible when I have my plastics done next Winter. Fortunatly, my doc has just opened another section to his practice that has personal fitness trainers that we can work with (at a cost). Since a vast majority of their clients are either overweight (no surgery for whatever reason) or RNY patients, I'm not dealing with someone who doesn't understand my needs. In fact, one of the girls who works in that area is a former patient. Nice to know that I don't have alot of explaining to do, ya know???? Anyways....thanks! Jill
