Hiking/Geocaching Photos, Plans!
I just posted this on the Singles Board and wanted to let you all know, too! :
Per request, some hiking/geocaching photos were just uploaded into my profile pictures.
Today we had overcast skies and then rain. We had a great hike--very strenuous--and livley conversation the whole way! We then went for coffee for an hour and a half. We now have plans to walk tomorrow after work (He asked! He will be away in Richmond for three days, so this will be real nice
) if I get my doctor's appt. canceled.

Hi Lois, very nice! The scenry was beautiful, and you and your new friend loo**** you were having a good time. He's a cutie!!
Hey Lois, I have a question - how do you get your profile to continue like you did, in one reading page? If that makes sense. Look at mine and you will ssee that you have to click on a date (a month) to read what when on that month. It doesn't continue ike yours (and that's how I want mine).
thanks Lois,
love
donna

Nat converted it for me. She took my old profile and dragged the whole thing over.
The problem is, that first section only holds so much data, so it cut my profile off. I have more to put up, but will have to use those date things you click. I still have 4 months worth to move, or do something with.

Lois-
You look beautiful!
I have to ask...what is geocaching? Is it similar to letterboxing? I have some friends who have been wanting my hubby and I go to hiking with them...we just want to wait until the ground isn't so muddy so we have a good first experience. It looks like maybe you hiked to find that box...which would be similar to letterboxing. I'd love more information....hiking with a purpose/goal sounds a bit more my speed than just hiking to hike (other than the company and the views of course!).
Best to you,
Christina S

I don't know what letterboxing is. Most geocaches have trinkets and treasures. I fyou take one you leave one behind. Each one as a log book you leave comments in and sign. Go to www.geocaching.com for more info. There are 18 caches within 15 miles of my home! You don't have to go far to have fun.
Each cache is described by its gps coordinates at the very least. MANY have hints and logs from others that give good clues where to look, or how long to look. They also give recommendations for the hike, vistas, sidetrails, etc.
Great fun!

Lois-
Sounds very similar to letterboxing (www.letterboxing.org) except the trinkets and treasures.
Thanks for the information!
