I'm Approved Already?!!?

Well it seems like this is really happening! What Hilarie said was some people do indeed get approved before they complete their diet program, she said it happens but it's rare. So I think I have my date of Jan. 17, I'm going to have to get rolling because I have other appts to make. Today the surgeons office sent a program through email to watch on my computer. I knew most of the stuff but it was helpful and interactive. My in-laws will need to take my baby for awhile, I'm a little concerned with how all that will work out. Wow.

Wow, you really are lucky. I had to wait 6 months of a dietary evaluation thru Aetna and also had to complete a whole lot of other things before they gave me the ok...and this was after three years of trying to get the surgery(although I have all the medical reasons neccesary for the surgery). I dunno if you just lucked out or what but way to go! I had my surgery this past Nov 29...so only a week post op for me! Dr Hutcher kicks butt! He is seriously kind and knows what hes talking about, and his incision area is so neat, its just one little line.

It has indeed taken me by surprise as it did my husband. He's wondering why he hasn't been approved yet. All I can say is I believe God has perfect timing and all things work together for good. I'm glad to hear about Dr. Hutcher's incision, that's what they told me at the office as well. So how are you doing a week out?

I am doing just fine, I had a bit of a hard time getting around the first few days home, but now am able to walk about easily...the stairs were no problem for me at all..even when I was having issues moving about. My incision is a little longer then alot of peoples, but I had a few issues during the surgery(my gallbladder was very bad off...and the liver was huge apparently)...so yours will probably be a bit smaller...but still mine is lovely(for a scar :) ). I am actually proud of it...weird. One thing I can tell you for sure is..do not sleep on your side or even try to...lol..learned the hard way nothing but pain can come from that...I am finally back in my bed though..so woohoo! Tell your husband to get his dr to really ride the insurance company if he is having issues getting approved...its really the drs note that really pushes you into the surgery. Melli
