finally can go on foods

hi all i just saw my doctor for my 1 week post op. and he said everything looks really good was happy to see i even drove myself from fredericksburg to woodbridge, and said i was walking like i never even had surgery. : )) i lost 13 pounds on his scale , its nice even my face clears up cuz im not taking in the bad foods anymore. i go back in 3 weeks, i guess i developed a chest cold from being in the hospital and i couldnt breath deep with that breathing toy they gave me. So anyways he told me i can start pureed foods so tonight im having beans and cheese im taking it slow but finally i can actually eat... and tomorrow i can have maybe mashed potatos : )) anyways life is looking good and everything is working as it should.. and to all of you THANK YOU SO MUCH , I am thankful for all of you... HAPPY THANKSGIVING Beth

Take it slowly introducing new foods, Beth. I remember not enjoying the look of my pureed food but it was so nice to put something into my mouth that tasted good! You are doing wonderfully! Have a great Thanksgiving! Kathy
