Thank You .. I am Home
I want to take this time to thank all of you for your prayers , cards, visits and gifts .
I was discharged from NIH last evening . I am at home recovering from the surgery and getting used my new medicines to sustain my life .
This has been the longest 3 weeks of my life . My life will now forever be changed . I am learning how to manage lifes stresses and recognize the symptoms of adrenal crisis .
You all have no idea what your kind words meant to me . I came online and read them today from Alan's post ...
Each day I received stacks of cards , this was the highlight of my stay .. and really did cheer me up .
The gifts , the charms .. the cards drawn by children ... mean so much to me ..
Thank you to those that took the time to visit me . Seeing your smiling faces and getting your hugs of encouragment .. touched me deeply .
This is going to take some time to get adjusted too , I am still pretty weak . But I just wanted you all to know that I have been thinking about you .. and thanking God Each day that you all are my family ..
And last but not least ..
To my dearest Friend Joann . ( Tigger ) I can not thank you enough for coming down the night before my surgery . You made me feel so loved and you helped to take my mind off my surgery . Thank you for holding my hand and making one of the last things I saw before going under , your beautiful smiling face ... telling me you loved me .. You are priceless ... and I can not thank you enough .. one day I will repay you .. and to our extended family here .. This lady is my hero ! She put me before her own pain ... to show me love and compassion .. Joann .. I love you and Thank you !
Take care !
Natalie
Tink - I've been keeping up with you on the boards and am so happy you are home in time for Thanksgiving ! You truly have a lot to be thankful for this year as do all of us. Have a wonderful holiday and take it easy - let that honey continue to take of you - there will plenty of time in the future for you to reciprocate.
hugs

Glad to see you're home safe and sound, Nat. The reason you received so many cards, thoughts, and prayers is because you keep this forum alive. You've always been welcoming, you share so much information and experiences to help all of us newbies and it would be very lonely around here without you. I don't know you very well, but I do know how much you've indirectly affected my life and I'm glad you are here, especially when I needed it the most. I'm sure everyone will agree with me.
Glad it all worked out,
Amber
Welcome Home dear one. I am so glad you made it home in time for Thanksgiving. I remember it is your fav. holiday. But this year you will let others take care of you. Hmmm that might be a hard one for you. As I know you like to cook. Keep us all posted. Have a wonderful holiday and get your rest.
Hugs,
Susan
Hello! Sweet Tinkerbelle. You have been sorely missed. I think about you everyday. I got permissn to drive today but I'm putting my plans on hold because my mom's cancer has come back and she has to start chemo again next week. I'm trying to get her in a clinical trial at Duke University for adrenal related ancers. Something you might like to look into too, It's a drug trial to control the cancer cells, it's not a cure.
I hope you are on the mend and just take it one day at a time. It's all you can do.
Lots of big hugs,
Jane
