A little help from my Friends...

Hello All!!! My Mother is researching WLS for herself and would like to get some information from Pre-op, and Post-ops... She has Tricare as well as Carefirst BC BS for insurance ( govt employee) and would like to know anything and everything about it... I've talked to her a lot but I think she could value from talking with some women closer to her age about some of the concerns she has... She lives in No.Va and I've been telling her about the support group meetings up there but she could use some local contacts to give her a nudge to come to a meeting... Ross - I have BC/BS Federal Employees Program as well - They are great - I got my approval within 4 days of my first doctor visit. I am still pre-op hoping to have my surgery sometime soon after the new year - I have to make some leave arrangements at work before I can go. Where is your mom thinking about having her surgery?

Hey Ross, I could help you out with that one, heck, she lives all of 3 min from me! The meetings out at Fair Oaks are changing, not sure to where, because once they move, I will not be attending any longer. I played hell getting to the ones at the hospital, and if they go further out, there is no way I will be able to go. I am sure someone else has more info on that, though......
