Hey - I'm back from San Diego

Howdy - yeah, it's me! Back from sunny San Diego. Love love love that place. But it may be because that is where my family is and was where I was born and raised! Anyway, so here I am. I had another good flight in that I could do the seat belt, put down the tray, walk the aisles without going sideways, cross my legs, oh, and the seat belt leftover was the whole length of my arm. Yes, of course I measured!! And the gentleman next to me looked at me like I was nuts when I let out a yelp when it measured that much. In March it only went to my elbow. Yupper, I measured then too!! So I have to catch up with everyone and see what's going on. I've missed you all. Funny how I've become sort of addicted to you all. Gosh, just think this time last year.. I was about three weeks from surgery. I haven't yet, but I'm going to go back and read my journal and see what my thoughts were. I had very good reaction and comments from my family and friends when they saw me. But the best was my sweet mom *****ally has never said much about my weight loss when she has seen me which has just been once in person and then pictures. This time when I walked in the door she just looked at me and said 'oh Donna,' and put her hand up to her mouth and started to cry. It was pretty awesome. One of my daughters did take me shopping and put me in a dressing room and brought me things to try on! She said 'Mom, you're out of 1X'. So I got some tops that I probably wouldn't have even tried on -- size L and some XL. I don't know, I still feel a little self conscious in them. So that's my trip! I hope I didn't bore you. Now, on to reading about what's going on with you all!! love you! donna

Welcome Back Miss Donna. Glad you had a good trip. I got to get new shirts too. Most are too baggy and a few too tight. Just want something that really fits. Hopefully soon. I am still going thru a battery of tests on my insides. Hope to have definitive answers soon. Love Shannon

Yeah!! You are back So, I have one more week left before school starts...think we can get together sometime next week for a lunch or something? Once school starts, I plan on being super busy to help pay for the summer of fun I have been having!!! Talk to you soon!! Dianna

Hi Dianna, how did we let the summer get away from us! I can't believe it's almost over. The only day I can meet you is Thursday. Can you do lunch at Miguels?? Let me know. It would be great if Natalie, Julie, and anyone else around could join us. I was also thinking it would be fun to do one of our NOVA dinners. What do you think?? Welcome home Donna! Glad you had a great trip.. Sounds like you made some awesome memories while gone! My life has been hectic, so you wont be reading much from me when perusing the back button. My oldest son started college last week, which if you knew this kid, you'd know I'm celebrating big time! lol Youngest is about to start football Monday, and then his school starts after labor day. Me, I'm depressed as all get out that the summer months have literally flown by. I've been having way too much fun this summer, and hate to see it end. Life is crazy and busy! Hi Wendy, your description of your life sounds like my daughter Traci. She has one son that I know is a total challenge to her. He's 17 and I know she is counting the time till he goes to college!! He has 5 sibs and he seems to always be in the middle of some hassel with them!! I can't believe summer is almost gone too. It's my very favorite time. I know fall is beautiful, but that is so close to winter, and I hate winter!!! love you Wendy! donna

Hi My Sweety ! Welcome Back ... Well my biggest news is that I have moved up to Rockville Officially !!! I have been accepted into the Protocol for my tumor at NIH ... Living with Alan .. and enjoying my life ... Been busy that is for sure ... My youngest just had a birthday yesterday ... Amy my daughter was pregnant but lost the baby again .. she is doing fine but really sad .. I guess life has just been for me one big Lay Over .. if you go and catch up on my post you will see .. I miss you .. and hope now that I live closer we can get together ... I will be attending the Panera Bread meetings more and looking forward to restarting old friendships .. Hi Natalie, I have been trying to catch up on all that has been going on. It's been busy around this board!! I am sorry about your daughter Natalie. What great news about moving in with Alan. He's a sweet man and you certainly deserve the good life he's giving you. Natalie, there is no reason that we can't see each other more. Are you going to work in this area or be a lady of leisure.
