Discouraged
Never a guarantee of that. I'm still 56 lbs from my goal at 1 yr and a week, so don't get discouraged. If you still have a little to lose, that's okay. I have a lot to lose and I'll keep on rocking until I do.
Keep your head up. As for plastics through Tricare, I was told they'll only approve it after you're 18 months out from surgery. That's why I'm pushing to lose at least another 30 lbs by the next 6 months.
Good luck and hugs,

Tracy, who told you that you would reach your goal by a year? I am sure that can't be a true statement for everyone since it would depend on how much weight you had to lose (as Tonya said). But did your doc say that? How are your check ups going with the doctor? Are you on target. From your past posts it seems like you have not been losing what you expected to, or wanted to. Try not to be discouraged
I too am 11 months out and not at my goal. Have you stopped losing? Are you doing all the protein?
I'm sorry to ask so many questions.

Tracy,
I met my goal around 15-16 months out, but everyone is very different. I don't think anyone should say you will met your goal by one year, b/c I lost for a few more months, but after about a year you are more like to losing less at such a rapid speed. Don't get down, nothing goes off at one year~~promise, no one comes and cuts off your losing ability
. Evaluate your diet and your exercise, see if there are some adjustments you can make to get those last 25 pounds off.
Good Luck! Stacey

Tracy! From what I have read you are doing so super! The person who said that should be slapped around! You may take a little longer than that year, but you are obviously heading that way! I have felt the same way each time I hit a plateau, which makes me nuts. Keep your chin up, girlie. You are doing great!
Tracy,
Weight Loss after WLS is variable.. plain and simple. I'm 2.5 yrs out from a VGB with sleeve gastrectomy and I'm still losing... I started at 480 and now I'm down to 274... I'm still losing... I've had some slow points... some plateaus... but I've never put a time limit on myself... I know what and how I lose weight... and I'm going to keep working on it till I reach my personal goal.
*hugs*
You'll get there!!! don't worry bout goals others set FOR you... Set your own!!!
