Hi all, I just found this site at the recommendation of a friend I play everquest2 with : ) (Oh I can hear the groans now). It looks great. I'm going in on Tuesday for my surgery, an open RNY with Dr Hutcher here in Richmond. I have to admit to being scared to death. I can't wait for the surgery to be over and the recovery to be underway. In a way I wi**** was now June 10th or so. Laney

Welcome to the Board. You will be a big loser, soon! Congratulations on having come this far. Let the fears wash over you and back out to sea. Most of us felt that way right before our surgery. Keep on posting. There is usually someone here. (My son [24] games. He recently got into Hero Clix and my dining room table is covered with the board and figures). Lois

Laney, no groans, just laughter. My husband and I played EQ for five years, then moved to EQII, then SWG, and now to WoW. Congrats on your surgery date. Good luck to you and remember, druids rock! Hugs, Tonya

Welcome Laney, Congratulations on your surgery. Dr. Hutcher is great... I had surgery with Dr. Martin (love her too!) but have met Dr. Hutcher several times at the support group. Come by any Thursday evening. Details on the St. Mary's web site. I didn't attend support group until a month after surgery and found the talks and info and just plain support was so helpful! Best wishes on Tuesday!! Hugs, Tammy (just down the road from ya, and my hubby is a gamer)

Hey Laney, Welcome to the Virginia Board. You will find so much help and support here....and did I mention LOVE!! What a wonderful group of people you have stumbled upon. I am having my surgery July 3 but I've been here for about a year now. Without the people here I don't know if I could have made it. It's been a long year of denials, change of doctors, more denials, appeals and peer to peer reviews. But finally I got the words I had been longing to hear, "You're Approved." I also have Dr. Hutcher and I honestly believe he's the BEST you could have chose. That's not to say that anyone else's doctors aren't good, this is just a personal opinion. I will keep you in my prayers & thoughts between now and Tuesday. I hope you go in relaxed and confident that you are going to be fine. I pray that your surgery will be without any complications and that your recovery will be speedy and uneventful. So now just relax and know you are in good hands..........easy for me to say now but just wait until the end of month when I am approaching my surgery.....I will be a bundle of nerves too. I'm here if you need to talk. Lots of Love Kathy 28 days & counting

Laney, Welcome to the board! Dr. Hutcher is awesome and one of the sweetest, kindest, caring doc's I have ever met. He took good care of me and I am sure he will do the same with you. I live about a mile from the hospital so let me know if you need anything or want visitors. I will be thinking about you and saying an wxtra prayer! Tammy C
