Hi Shele! Glad you are feeling better but I so understand what you're going through. It would be nice if you could call some mom's of your kids' friends and see if they could go to a movie or anything in your area that kids like to do. It's really hard for kids to understand what all is involved in surgery, especially if you look like usual to them. It's hard for them to understand that you're not "sick" but you kinda sorta have to behave somewhat like a sick person does. Don't worry about your house....trust me...when it's appropriate for you to be back to doing those things....all that stuff will be right there waiting patiently. Remind me that I said all this stuff in three weeks ok! My son is 14 and will be out of town (at my insistance....he has a meet and very sweetly offered to stay home but that would make me feel bad). My husband will be understanding and helpful....even if he does make lots of mess. But it's my elderly mother who lives with me who just won't "get it." I bet tomorrow will be an even better day for you....and in no time you'll have more energy than your kids will know what to do with!!!

Morning ladies! Today is a better day! I am just finishing my applesauce which has taken me an hour. Now I have to start drinking my water. Before I know it I will have to get to my snack then my lunch. Thanks so much for the support...understanding and love. Hugs! Shele 4 days post op -9 lbs!!! WOOHOO!
